For the moral, social, religious and spiritual reformations of the Muslims Ummah in particular and the world in general

The body SHAMS-UD-DEEN AL-ISLAMIY, is not the name of a religion, but a body of Muslims who work for the moral, social, religious and spiritual reformations of the Muslims Ummah in particular and the world in general, who have banded themselves together at the behest of Allah, the most high through His chosen servant, Fadilat Shiek Alhaji Hameed Aweda Olohunghemi, (a.k.a Aye-Ogbaro) to order and live their lives in accordance with the deals and spirit of Islam, the Holy Quran, the Sunnah (practices of the Holy prophet Mohammed (SAW) as contained in the Hadith).

Aims and Objectives

To promote the orthodox practice of Islam in accordance with the Holy Quran and Sunnah.
To pursue the moral, religious and social reformation among the Muslims and Non-Muslims alike.
To foster spiritual consciousness of the Muslims with a view to achieving self-reliance.
To discharge fetish practice and any act inimical to the doctrines of Islam.
To make people appreciate the efficacy of prayers in achieving their goals.

Achievements

The organization came into being in the weak practice of Islamic religion in Nigeria especially in the South west of the country, when the religious tenets were no more followed, which led to the massive conversion of our youths to other religions, (i.e. Christianity, Idolaters etc.) thinking that Islam is dirty and devoid of spiritual power through prayers alone.

It is this society of ours that came out quickly to differentiate between Islam and occultism, countering the impression created by some of the preachers who presented Islam wrongly for their own personal advantages, quoting verses for clarification from Holy Quran and Hadith.

As at 26^th year anniversary, we had 302 branches throughout the federation including two branches each in the Republic of Benin and Togo.

The association has 158 Arabic and Islamic schools in Nigeria, 158 Mosques for the branches, and had acquired 45 acres of land in Ado-Odo, 10 Buses and a car for Dawah. Our population as at that anniversary was 0.78million members mostly youth.

Target

In order to achieve more of these objectives, we need to have our private University Arabic/Islamic Institute, Comprehensive/Technical College, Islamic Hospital and Sophisticated Public addressing System to carry the message far and wide, including media programmes, to make the propagation easier.

Appeal

All these projects can only come to reality through the financial assistance of sundry in which more than N500 million is required in cash and kind. Therefore, we appeal to you to come to our aid and assist in Allah’s work. The layout of the proposed project is attached.
